ABOUT CONCLAVE

An unmissable feature of aspirations of the current generation of students in higher education institutions is their inherent preference for technology enabled innovations, neoteric business ideas and creation of impactful startups in key sectors. Tens of thousands of students and faculty advisors take part in hackathons, business idea competitions and design tinkering workshops to showcase their efforts. Indian Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Conclave (I-TEC) forms an inspirational multi-disciplinary platform for greater exchange and learning, deepening of technology abilities, synergistic utilization of resources and partnership development. The conclave connects innovators, hackathon and ideathon enthusiasts, designers, researchers, incubatee companies, faculty advisors, industries, institutional heads and policy makers.

A distinct feature of aspirations of the current generation of students in higher education institutions is their preference for technology enabled innovations, neoteric business ideas and creation of impactful startups in key sectors. This feature is evident in many Indian institutions spread across rural, semi-urban or urban locations where they take part in hackathons, design tinkering workshops and competitions to showcase their efforts. Efforts of MHRD, DST, NITI Aayog, other national and state bodies have served this cause tremendously.

The requisite effort to foster innovation is to spot the student and faculty innovators and provide timely support through necessary mechanisms. Renowned space scientist, Padmashree awardee and Chandrayan-I Project Director Dr. M Annadurai has consented to guide the organizing of the program. Chairpersons and leaders from National Research Development Corporation, AICTE, TIFAC, DRDO and industry leaders are part of the organizing committee.

Current Status

We received the acceptance letters from on 16th March 2020.

At the same time, the Government imposed Lockdown across the country due to Covid19. Ever since the universities and institutions are yet to re-open and hence our plan of visiting the campuses, couldn't be implemented.

Hence, this has been put on hold for this reason and no further communication has happened with the Institutions.

We are eagerly looking forward to take stock of the research progress and reassess the funding needs, and do the needful.
